Tornado Pulper
The Tornado pulper is a rugged design that is capable of pulping your most difficult jobs. Raw stocks such as cotton, hemp, flax, leather and synthetic fibers can be processed. The pulper is also efficient for recovery of waste from products considered impossible to defiber such as electrical insulation papers, gasket stock, map paper, shoeboard, flooring base, and high wet strength papers. The Tornado helps eliminate ecological problems and disposal costs by making these difficult products recoverable. It can also be used in conjunction with the refiners and paper machines to develop finished rolls for customer evaluations.

Screening
In pulp processing and stock preparation, Herty’s Screening and Fractionation Systems are among the best in the industry. The available screening systems allow larger quantities of pulp to be processed. Clients have reported excellent scale-up results in their mills due to our realistic operating conditions. Screens can be run in a stand-alone manner or as an integral part of a stock preparation system. The system allows for a number of different projects including separating fine and coarse fibers and inks, process modification and improved surface printability. Herty is one of the few centers of excellence in optimizing the screening and fractionation of pulps at both low and high consistencies.

Refining system
