Dr. William G. Brundage brings to Herty not only a Ph. D. in Microbiology, but 27 years of experience in investing public and private funds in New Economy Infrastructure – creating and building programs that allow states to be full participants in the New Economy.  Previously the President/CEO of both Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation and Florida Innovation Partnership Corporation and Commissioner of Kentucky’s Office for the New Economy, Dr. Brundage’s experience has been a valuable asset to Herty since he took the position as President in 2005.

Dr. Don McLemore came to Herty in 2005 with a BS, MS and Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics and Polymer Science, respectively, and almost 30 years of industry experience.  Dr. McLemore spent 21 years with the Dow Chemical Company where he rose through the ranks of research management in polymeric materials in both Dow’s Louisiana and Michigan laboratories.   During his later years with Dow, he was named Director of Technology and Business Development for Dow Venture.  After leaving Dow in 1997, Don went on to work with Raychem and later Microtek Medical (formerly Isolyser Co.) where he achieved the positions of Director of Technology and Business Development and Executive Vice President, respectively.  In recent years, Dr. McLemore has formed a private consulting business and accepted an appointment to work with Georgia Tech to lead an initiative in developing a nationally recognized center of excellence in polymer science and engineering.
