In optical evaluations, Herty's testing capabilities include diffuse (ISO) and TAPPI- Directional-GE-type evaluations. Both instruments test for a full range of optical color, and fluorescence properties. Gloss can be determined at 20° and 75°. Herty performs both instrumental and manual dirt counts per the TAPPI test methods. Formation, dirt counts, and print uniformity are analyzed by image analysis. Our routine test include:
- Brightness, Opacity, Scattering and Absorption Coefficient
- Hunter L,a,b Color and CIE L*, a*, b* Color
- Color Difference, ASTM Whiteness and Yellowness
- Luminosity and Fluorescence
- Gloss- 20° and 75°
- Optest PAPRICAN Microscanner Properties
- Dirt count- T563, Formation, Print Uniformity
- TAPPI Dirt Counts- T213 Pulp, T437 Paper, and Image Analysis
- Other Tests Available
