The production of multi-component filters for the use of high temperature internal combustion engine exhaust filtration was attained through developmental collaborations between Herty and a client.

Light as a Feather
One of Herty’s clients has achieved product development and production capabilities for of both lightweight substrates used to manufacture composites as a replacement for metals in aerospace applications and complex compositions for electrical components through the use of Herty’s services.  Herty has also helped develop a highly specialized process to produce unique surface and structural properties in fibrous substrates.

Making Driving Safer
Herty supported the development of ceramic filter media for airbag components to filter out the hot particles created during the deployment of an airbag, making them safer and less hazardous to drivers in the event of a collision.
